How to find your computers name (Windows 8.1 & 10)

- Press start button (see 1 below) and type "computer name" (see 2 below, screen shot is Windows 10 but windows 8.1 is similar), click on "View your PC name" (3 below).
- This displays an information screen displaying various computer system information and includes the computer name and also workgroup/domain information:
